Archiving Policy

The Journal of Biopharmaceutics and Clinical Pharmacy (JBCP) is committed to the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of all published content. The journal adopts a robust digital archiving strategy to ensure that scholarly work remains permanently available and discoverable to the global research community.

1. Digital Preservation Systems

JBCP supports recognized archiving and preservation initiatives to safeguard its content against data loss and ensure continued accessibility:

  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): A distributed preservation system that stores multiple copies of journal content across participating libraries worldwide.
  • CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS): A community-governed dark archive that guarantees long-term preservation and provides access to content if the journal ceases publication.

2. Institutional Repository Deposit

Authors are encouraged to deposit the published version of their articles in institutional or subject-based repositories. This practice enhances visibility, accessibility, and long-term preservation of scholarly work in accordance with the journal’s open-access policy.

3. Author Self-Archiving

JBCP permits authors to archive the final published version (PDF) of their articles on personal websites, institutional repositories, or academic platforms. Proper citation of the original publication and a link to the journal website must be included.

4. Indexing, Storage, and Backups

All published articles are securely stored within the journal’s official database and are subject to routine backups. These measures ensure data protection, system reliability, and uninterrupted access to published content.

5. Digital Object Identifier (DOI)

Each published article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), providing a permanent and stable link for citation, indexing, and retrieval. This ensures long-term accessibility and accurate referencing of scholarly work.

6. Commitment to Long-Term Access

Through the integration of digital preservation systems, repository support, and persistent identifiers, JBCP ensures that all published content remains secure, accessible, and citable for current and future researchers.
